Bryan Brooking

Range of Experience

Bryan has 30 years of experience in the information technology sector, as well as several years in consulting engineering. For the past 17 years, Bryan's professional services have been focused on the Public Sector. He has been involved in a wide variety of project and consulting engagements with all levels of government and industry, both in Canada and in the US.

Prior to joining GNA, Bryan was a Principal Consultant with EDS (now part of Hewlett-Packard). During his 9 years with EDS, Bryan was either involved in consulting assignments, large-scale business opportunities, or public sector thought leadership activities. Bryan was a foundational member of a core team within EDS focused on Citizen Centric Government and the development of EDS points of view in regard to critical issues and challenges facing public sector jurisdictions. He also participated in a number of "pursuits" primarily related to large scale multi-year Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) business opportunities.

Prior to joining EDS, Bryan has been an independent consultant and professional services executive. He was Chief Information Officer and Vice President, Reengineering Services for Solutions for Government (SFG) located in Vancouver, BC with responsibility for customers throughout North America. With SFG, Bryan's Professional Services team was responsible for the implementation of more than 100 technology applications in public sector organizations over a four-year period. This included applications related to finance, procurement, taxation, payroll/HR, activity based costing, utilities management, and operations management. Clients ranged in size from 300 employees to more than 10,000 employees. Prior to joining SFG, he headed the Western Region of the Professional Services Division of a major hardware vendor. He also spent a number of years with one of Canada's largest management consulting firms.
