Specific Experience   For a clearing and settlement organization managed the development, implementation and delivery of a large scale web-based reporting solution for every major financial institution in Canada involved in the trading of equity and debt instruments. Developed the business case and implementation strategy for a multi-million dollar overhaul of back office and operational control systems for an international gas pipeline company. For a major casualty insurance company conducted a review of benefits flowing from the installation of a suite of SAP finance and logistics applications, itself a three year $23 million project. Completed a feasibility study for the upgrading of a complex outsourced customer payment plan serving more than 800,000 customers. For a financial services company having a large project portfolio, designed and implemented a financial evaluation system to track and evaluate business case development of projects at the concept and pre-approval stages. At an international airline provided project team leadership for the implementation of an enterprise financial reporting and management information system. Over several years worked with the VP Finance to directly develop and enhance a long-term financial and operational planning model for a rapidly growing electronics manufacturing firm serving the world printing industry. At the start of the assignment the company had 115 employees. The plan was followed and today the company has 4,100 employees and annual sales in excess of US$600 million. For a Canadian based international oil company, was project leader for the development of a strategic capital investment and financial planning system. Developed and delivered to various clients both customized and packaged training for a financial planning software package. At a national specialty retailer, provided project management for a systems infrastructure upgrading, including the implementation of wide area networking, local area networks and server replacement. Supervised the design, development and implementation of a case management system for a government agency. Developed a strategic marketing plan to provide outsourcing services to local government agencies for a business unit of an international parking lot management company. For the finance department of national trust company provided technical support to the project team charged with building a planning and budgeting system. Provided hands-on technical management for the customization and implementation of a time and billing system for a consulting firm serving the health care industry. Managed the initial public offering process and acted as interim Vice President Finance for a public electronics manufacturing company serving the security industry. At a Canadian based international mining company worked with all levels of the finance department to design, code and implement a financial planning system to support a listing application to the American Stock Exchange and ensure compliance with SEC requirements for disclosure of forward oriented information.
