Range of Experience Sheila has both hands on experience and education in all functional areas of management: operations, sales, marketing, human resources and finance. She has excellent communication and change management skills and has provided change management workshops, for over 1000 individuals designed to help them understand, accept and change with the evolving marketplace. She has led both bargaining unit and management teams through significant business process reengineering, mergers, and acquisitions. Her experience also includes managing million dollar projects coordinating multiple vendors and leading teams from diverse areas. She has established and led numerous operational reviews resulting in significant cost savings and operational efficiencies. In every role, she has always focused on how to improve customer satisfaction, increase quality, improve productivity and reduce costs. She has worked with hundreds of organizations, ranging from the Department of National Defense base in Masset to a small warehouse in the lower east side, providing business process consulting and training for Call Centre and complex telephony solutions. Prior to joining GNA, she spent 13 years learning and growing in the ever-changing telecommunications industry. Her initial positions were professional roles such as Engineering Specialist and Application Training Consultant and evolved to hold strategic senior roles, providing vision and guidance to diverse management teams. Sheila also completed an MBA at Simon Fraser University in 2004 and is a member of the business faculty at Capilano College teaching in the human resources, strategic management and marketing areas. to top |
