Ron Nielsen   Education & Qualifications Specific Experience

Range of Experience   Ron is President and Managing Director of GNA Consulting Group Ltd. and has completed many senior management consulting engagements for a variety of GNA clients in BC, Ontario and Alaska. Prior to GNA, Ron was a Senior I.S. Management Consultant with Digital Equipment of Canada, where he provided consulting services to Digital clients and sales staff. Prior to Digital, Ron worked in the oil industry for five years. He entered into Management Consulting in association with Gellman, Hayward & Partners, a national consulting firm. Before that, he was Director of Information Systems for Turbo Resources Limited, a Western Canadian refiner and retailer of fuel products. He also was Manager of Computer Services with Canadian Occidental Petroleum Ltd., an international oil and natural gas producer. Prior to the oil industry, Ron worked in the agriculture industry for 19 years with Alberta Wheat Pool, an Alberta and BC grain handling co-operative. He gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in all IT functional areas, holding a number of challenging management positions. Along with a wide range of consulting and management engagements, Ron is also experienced in representing and managing client interests in the outsourcing of information technology from the strategy stage through the RFP process, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and transition.
